ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·        Locate water services & repair water mains.

·        Clean manholes and sewer lines, maintain lift stations, run & maintain lift station generators.

·        Service all equipment; clean up shop area.

·        Clean and maintain water reservoir catchments.

·        Maintain water services, shut-off and hydrant valves.

·        Operate & maintain chlorine generators and chlorine injectors.

·        Read water meters, collect and analyze water samples, and perform other lab duties.

·        Flush fire hydrants, make repairs, and replace parts & equipment.

·        Maintain and operate dewatering building.

·        Be on-call during assigned rotation period.

·        Operate and maintain Eyak water treatment plant and three surface water sources.

·        High School Graduate or equivalent thereof.

·        Possess basic computer skills.

·        Level II Operator Certificates in Water and Wastewater preferred.

·        Must possess a current Class B CDL or obtain one within 6 months of hire (mandatory).
