MEETING INFORMATION
The AML Legislative Committee & Alaska Conference of Mayors will be meeting August 27-28 in Wrangell, Alaska. The meeting will begin Wednesday, August 27 at 8:00 a.m. and end Thursday, August 28 at 5:00 p.m.

The Policy Statement is used as the framework for all advocacy activities throughout the year. All Legislative Committee members will receive a copy of the working DRAFT 2009 Policy Statement in the mail by mid-July.  This is the document the Legislative Committee will work from at the Summer Legislative Meeting. 

 

AGENDA:

• All functions will be held at the Nolan Center in Wrangell, unless otherwise stated.
• “All” includes Legislative Committee members, Board members & ACoM members.

TRAVEL:

The best way to travel to Wrangell is via Alaska Airlines. Due to travel limitations, it is advised to arrive Wrangell the day before the meeting begins and leave on Friday, the day after the conference ends.

HOTEL INFO:

It is critical that you make your hotel reservation as soon as possible. Hotel/B&B space fill up quickly during summer months and we would hate to see any one turned away due to booking too late.

ROOM BLOCK:
Click the link to download the Wrangell Lodging list. Each Hotel/B&B/Hostel has been fully blocked for the Summer Meeting... However, the block will be released June 15, 2008 and open to the general public. The room block dates/prices are guaranteed for August 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2008. A credit card is necessary to reserve a room, but will not be charged until the day of check-in.
