MEETING INFORMATION
The AML Legislative Committee & Alaska Conference of Mayors will meet August 12-14, 2009 in Palmer, Alaska at the Palmer Community Center (Railroad Depot).
The Policy Statement is used as the framework for all advocacy activities throughout the year. All Legislative Committee members will receive a copy of the working DRAFT 2010 Policy Statement in the mail by mid-July. This is the document the Legislative Committee will work from at the Summer Legislative Meeting.

TRAVEL:
DRIVING
From Anchorage drive north via the Glenn Highway (Alaska Route 1). The Parks Highway splits off at mile 35 for Wasilla, Knik, Houston, Willow, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, Denali National Park and Denali State Park. Continue on the Glenn Highway to reach Palmer.
From Fairbanks go south on the Parks Highway (Alaska Route 3) to enter the north end of the Mat-Su Valley, which begins south of Cantwell.
If you're driving up the Alaska Highway, take the Richardson Highway from Tok to Glennallen. Turn on the Glenn Highway and head west. The Mat-Su Valley's most eastern border is Lake Louise.
