The Alaska Conference of Mayors today passed by unanimous consent Resolution 02.2021, supporting the use of masks and social distancing in all public places within Alaska due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and urging compliance with all federal guidance, State recommendations and mandates, and local requirements and ordinances. ACoM’s president, Bryce Ward, notes that “We commend to all Alaskans the Governor’s plea to mask up, stay six feet apart, work from home if possible, and wash your hands – we know that together we can help avoid overstretching our health and safety personnel, protect one another and our most vulnerable, and promote our economic recovery.” – ACoM Resolution – COVID Mitigation
