Infrastructure Office Hour: How Solid Waste Management Contributes to Community Resilience

Solid waste is a complex sanitation utility that includes lots of planning, staff time, fleet management, and other expenses. Landfills are typically the largest ongoing construction project in a community. Come to learn from ADEC Solid Waste Program staff about what systems are needed within a municipality to ensure their solid waste system is well run, meets the needs of the community, and is protective of human health and the environment. In this session, we will learn how a well-functioning solid waste system leads to a more resilient community.
