The Haines Borough is accepting applications for the position of Lands Director. Under the general supervision of the Borough Manager, the Lands Director provides leadership, professional expertise and oversight to the department. Conducts activities which include historic preservation, site plans, subdivisions, conditional uses, code development, zoning ordinance review, platting standards, over-site of real property assessment, municipal entitlements and borough lands sales, interpretation and general enforcement of Haines Borough municipal code.
A bachelor’s degree in planning or a related field and three years of community planning experience; or an
equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of
the job.
Wage: $80,000 – $90,000 DOE. This is a salaried position with full benefits, including medical insurance. Also, SBS (in lieu of Social Security). This is a NON-union position subject to a PERS percentage. A 6-month probationary period applies to this position.
