AML Resilience Planning that Strengthens Alaska’s Rural Communities Project
AML is working with coastal communities to prepare and respond to rapid and slow-moving hazards and disasters, such as flooding, erosion, permafrost thaw, landslides, and changes in temperature and precipitation. Through this project, AML and contracted experts are collaborating with coastal communities to advance local priorities that support efforts to plan and prepare for the future, including the sustainable management of social, economic, cultural assets, as well as the protection of critical energy and security infrastructure that is of vital national importance.
