Nationwide Retirement Solutions

Nationwide Retirement Solutions provides Deferred Compensation plans for local governments that may increase recruitment and retention.

AML has partnered with Nationwide, the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the United States Conference of Mayors to provide the retirement education, comprehensive investment choices and superior service for public employees. Alaska’s municipalities and their employees are free to choose Nationwide or any other provider for these products and services.

AML and NACo in partnership with Nationwide Retirement Solutions (NRS), and state associations of counties, provides county employees with a Section 457 Deferred Compensation Program. Since its inception in 1980, NACo’s Deferred Compensation Program has grown to become the largest supplemental retirement income program available to county employees. NACo Deferred Comp Program has helped more than 1.5 million county employees and retirees save for and live comfortably in retirement. More than 426,000 county employees from more than 2,900 county agencies currently participate in the Program, with accumulated assets of more than $28 billion.
